To ensure every patient's safety, we have made very careful changes to our infection control procedures that may seem excessive. I want to ensure that coming into our office will be just as safe as entering your own home, if not safer. This includes protocols of installing medical grade HEPA-13 air filters, hospital grade disinfectants, sterilization protocols, and continued screening of every staff member.
If you are suffering from dry mouth, you may be interested in ways that you can boost your saliva production to keep your teeth safe and breath fresh. Try following a few of these steps:
• Chew on sugar-free gum. This can stimulate your salivary glands. • Eat foods that are high in fiber, such as crunchy fruits and vegetables. • Limit your alcohol consumption, as alcohol will dry out the mouth. • Brush your teeth, floss regularly, and use mouthwash. However, be sure to choose mouthwashes that are alcohol-free if you are concerned about saliva production.
